Hi, I'm Deb.
With a tailoring background & over 40 years of dressmaking making; quality & attention to detail is my focus.
I began Handmade in Rawdon in August 2020 when my family began to fly the nest & I had more time on my hands. My husband & I now live in Apperley Bridge, just a stone's throw from Rawdon where my business began. We have a French Bulldog, Stanley, who we adore. He's often seen at the markets I attend helping me to set up my stall.
It's my time to sew to my heart's content & share that with you.
I have a love of fabric & colour which I hope shines through in my makes.

I believe in quality & creativity. I'm constantly on the lookout for new ideas & resources to keep stock fresh & interesting. At every opportunity I support local small business, buying fabrics & haberdashery from UK suppliers when possible. Teaching others to sew is a joy & I love passing my knowledge on.
